The Drumheller Society for Recovery is a group of people concerned with the recovery from chemical and/or alcohol dependancy. The idea of a recovery home was originally formulayed in 1986 by two Drumheller residents (one a recovering alcoholic and the other a social worker), while they were discussing the plight of a third who was in need of such support not available in Drumheller. On August 08, 1990, Grace House accepted ots first residents from Renfrew Recovery Center in Calgary.
The Drumheller Society for Recovery is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Grace House is constantly accepting new members who have the same vision and desire to help provide a safe environment to those wishing to recover from their drug and/or alcohol dependancy.
